Week 2 – Injury Updates

As of Sunday morning, here are the latest injury updates.  (I’ve only included players that are on the fantasy radar.)

Roddy White – thigh – probable to play.  Shouldn’t be any concern starting him here…except facing the Eagles’ secondary.

Lee Evans – ankle – probable to play.

Stevie Johnson – groin – will play.

Marion Barber – calf – out.  Good news for Forte owners.

Roy Williams – groin – game time decision.  Not enough of a factor to take the rick.  Start another receiver.  Update: INACTIVE

Andy Dalton – wrist – probably to play.  I hope no one is starting Dalton, but this should make a difference to AJ Green owners.

Mohamed Massaquoi – hamstring – probable to play.

Dez Bryant – quadriceps – game time decision.  Bryant’s injury slowed him down noticeably in last weeks game, but he’s enough of a factor that it’s probably worth taking the risk.  Just bear in mind he plays at 4 on Sunday, so have a later game option to take his place, in case he’s a no go.

Miles Austin – hamstring – will play.

Knowshon Moreno – hamstring – unlikely to play.

Brandon Lloyd – groin – game time decision.  He practiced on Friday, so that should be a good sign for his availability on Sunday.

Calvin Johnson – ankle – will play.

Jermichael Finley – ankle – will play.

Kevin Walter – shoulder – game time decision.  Walter is unlikely to play, and Jacoby Jones should start in his place.

Derrick Ward – ankle – out.

Arian Foster – hamstring – probable to play.  Kubiak is going to be careful about overworking his star, so don’t expect to get what you paid for Foster back yet.

Anthony Gonzalez – hamstring – probable to play.  You shouldn’t be starting any Colts receiver who’s not Reggie Wayne.

Jason Hill – hip – unlikely to play.  He’s spent his down time this past week trash-talking Revis–I wonder if he’d have been so vocal if he was actually going to face him.

Marcedes Lewis – calf – unlikely to play.  Update:  INACTIVE

Steve Breaston – hamstring – probable to play.

Daniel Thomas – hamstring – will play.  Reggie Bush is still RB1 in Miami.

Lance Moore – groin – probable to play.  Meachem is the only Saints WR I would start with confidence.

Marques Colston – shoulder – out.  Possibly returning Week 6.

Hakeem Nicks – knee – game time decision.  Given that this is a Monday night game, it will be very risky to count on him.  Consider picking up Hixon or Salas as a sub in case he doesn’t go.

Santonio Holmes – knee – game time decision.  Jet should be running the ball a lot more this week, so probably not worth the risk.  Update:  WILL START

Joe McKnight – finger – will play.

Jacoby Ford – hamstring – will not play.  Raiders receivers have been decimated.  Could bode well for McFadden owners.

Darrius Heyward-Bey – knee – game time decision.  Not worth the risk–find a better option.  Update: INACTIVE

Kevin Boss – knee – probable to play.  Could be the #1 target for Campbell this week?  Update:  INACTIVE

Darren McFadden – shoulder – will play.

Steve Smith (PHI) – knee – probable to play.  Smith was dressed last week too, but they didn’t use him.  Curious to see how he does if/when he starts playing.

Jerricho Cotchery – hamstring – out.

Patrick Crayton – ankle – probable to play.

Mike Tolbert – knee – will play.

Nate Kaeding – knee – out for season.  (Screwing over morons everywhere who took a kicker before the last round….)

Sidney Rice – shoulder – out.  Possible return next week?

Marshawn Lynch – ankle – will play.

Michael Crabtree – foot – game time decision.  Not worth the risk.

Sam Bradford – finger – will play.

Steven Jackson – quadriceps – out.  Possible return next week?  Update:  JACKSON HAS BEEN UPGRADED TO GAME TIME DECISION

Danny Amendola – elbow – out.  Possble return Week 5?

Javon Ringer – back – will play.

Ryan Torain – hand – probable to play.  Likely behind Hightower and Helu in depth charts, so don’t start him.

Chris Cooley – knee – probable to play.  Fred Davis is the Redskins TE you want, though.

Brandon Banks – knee – questionable.
